Grilled Goat's Cheese, Pear and Honey Sandwich

Today this was my lunch. I was going to have a pear and goats cheese salad but it is so cold at the moment, salad was not going to cut it. Fried bread though, definitely was.

To make this posh grilled cheese sandwich you will need:

2 slices of bread, I used a ready sliced, brown, seedy loaf.
A drizzle of honey.
A quarter of a pear, (I ate the rest of the pear while grilling the sandwich, but you could class it up and slice it and serve it on the side).
3 thin slices of goats cheese.
Some flora for cooking with and for spreading on the bread.

Don't think I need to explain buttering bread but here's a photo anyway :)

Slice up the goat's cheese and cover one of the slices of bread in it.

Slice the pear arrange on top of the cheese.

Drizzle the honey and spread it around a bit.

Then you are ready to grill.

Put the pan on a medium heat and melt the butter, place the sandwich in the pan and leave to sizzle for a couple of minutes.

Keep checking the under side when it looks brown and crispy flip the sandwich.

After another couple of minutes take the sandwich out of the pan and you are ready to serve. Oozy, melted cheese, warm sweet pear and crispy bread.

Much better than salad on a cold day like today.
